VGPA Efforts on Your Behalf

MEMBERSHIP

VGPA represents Virginia's corn producers and small grain growers and works to promote and protect Virginia agriculture. VGPA strives to strengthen the relationships among producers, industry professionals, environmental organizations and policy makers.

Your membership is critical to the success of these efforts, as VGPA advocacy and lobbying activities cannot be supported by checkoff funds. Association work on subjects such as the farm bill, disaster aid, the Chesapeake Bay program and more is supported solely through Association funds. With 82 percent of all Americans now two or more generations away from any farm, it is vital that VGPA has a strong legislative voice. Your membership supports all advocacy and policy efforts at VGPA.

As the number of acres and individuals involved in production agriculture shrinks each year in Virginia, producers who continue to farm are becoming increasingly busy. With more demands on farmers’ time, VGPA is proud to take a stand on issues that impact the future of farming in Virginia and educate the state and nation about the importance of production agriculture in the Commonwealth. The Association strives to improve the quality of grain operations in Virginia by fighting burdensome regulations, reducing input costs and providing positive results for the responsible work of Virginia's grain producers.

The VGPA is only as strong as their membership base. Your membership allows us to better serve Virginia agriculture and producers. By joining VGPA you triple your benefits by automatically becoming a member in National Corn Growers Association and National Association of Wheat Growers.
