Bryan Taliaferro

When Bryan's not busy at his operation, Montague Farms, he is active in his church, as a deacon and bible teacher.  Bryan is also involved with the VA Agribusiness Council and is an outstanding advocate for Virginia's grains industry.
SECOND VICE PRESIDENT
William C. "Sparky" Crossman, III
Mount Holly, VA
Sparky stays busy at his farm, Laurel Springs. He grows corn, wheat and soybeans. He also does custom planting and harvesting. He serves on the VA Corn Checkoff Board as well as the CPS Board and VIPG LLC Board.

Bob Pitman 
Warsaw, VA
Bob is a Researcher based at the Eastern Virginia Ag. Research and Extension Center. Having extensive research and production knowledge, Bob is able to assist VGPA members as well as provide invaluable insight into current topics for VGPA leadership and advocacy efforts.

Tappahannock, VA
Ronnie brings keen business sense to the Association's board.  An employee of Colonial Farm Credit, Ronnie stays active in his community and is involved in other organizations such as the Essex/Tappahannock Chamber of Commerce and the Tappahannock Rotary.

Dee Dee Darden
Smithfield, VA
Dee Dee brings diversity to the VGPA leadership. Running Darden's Country Store and producing hams, peanuts, cheese, cotton, corn, wheat, soybeans and beef cattle on the Darden farm, definitely keeps her busy! Dee Dee is also Chairwoman of the VA Small Grains Checkoff Board.

VGPA Leadership Structure

VGPA officers, directors and delegates are elected each year at the VGPA Annual Business Meeting during the VGPA Annual Conference. Each VGPA Officer is elected for a one year term while each VGPA Director is elected for a three year term. The VGPA Board of Directors is comprised of both producer and industry members.

The officers, board and staff are responsible for aiding in the execution of the organization's policies, programs and strategic vision.
