Eugene Longest

With Eugene's work at Crop Production Services combined with his own grain operation, he brings a wealth of knowledge and on-farm experience to the VGPA Leadership. He has also served as President of the Three Rivers Soil & Water District.
FIRST VICE PRESIDENT
Dee Dee Darden
Smithfield, VA
Dee Dee brings diversity to the VGPA leadership. Running Darden's Country Store and producing hams, peanuts, cheese, cotton, corn, wheat, soybeans and beef cattle on the Darden farm, definitely keeps her busy! Dee Dee is also Chairwoman of the VA Small Grains Checkoff Board.

SECRETARY
Bob Pitman
Warsaw, VA
Bob is a Researcher based at the Eastern Virginia Ag. Research and Extension Center. Having extensive research and production knowledge, Bob is able to assist VGPA members as well as provide invaluable insight into current topics for VGPA leadership and advocacy efforts.
TREASURER
Craig Giese
Lancaster, VA
If managing the funds of VGPA isn't enough work, Giese Farm produces corn, soybeans, wheat and barley. Craig is always busy on and off the farm, finding time to be active in the Farm Bureau, Young Farmers, and the VA Soybean Checkoff Board. He is also a Certified Public Accountant
IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT
Wayne Kirby
Mechanicsville, VA
Wayne's professionalism and leadership are an asset to VGPA. His operation, Creamfield Farm, produces corn, wheat and soybeans. He is active in the Ruritans, serves on the Colonial Farm Credit Board of Directors and is Chairman of the VA Corn Checkoff Board.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Molly Payne Pugh
Chesapeake, VA
Molly's love for agriculture and politics makes her a natural choice for VGPA's Executive Director position. Leveraging her power of persuasion and her knowledge of legislative affairs, VGPA's Leadership and Membership couldn't be in more capable hands!

VGPA officers, directors and delegates are elected each year at the VGPA Annual Business Meeting during the VGPA Annual Conference. Each VGPA Officer is elected for a one year term while each VGPA Director is elected for a three year term. The VGPA Board of Directors is comprised of both producer and industry members.

The officers, board and staff are responsible for aiding in the execution of the organization's policies, programs and strategic vision.
